Segarona Arts and culture eisteddfod

We are pleased to announce that registration for the festival will open soon. This year's theme is "Life is a matter of choices and every choice you make, makes you." (John Maxwell)

The public speaking syllabus offers the following:

1. Prepared Speeches

2. Formal Poetry Presentation

3. Informal Poetry Presentation

4. Dramatised Poetry and Dramatised Prose

If learners are interested in registering they should speak to Mrs Smith before the end of the term. Only two entries per section per phase may be entered by the school. (Senior Phase - grades 8 and 9, FET Phase - grades 10, 11 and 12)

Learners who are interested in submitting pieces for visual art or choral items must speak to Mrs J Jones and Mrs Ntikinta respectively.

The Segarona Festival will be held at various District venues still to be announced, in July. Registration details will follow as soon as they are made available by the Department of Education.
